COZY UP TO KIER+J…
ENVELOP YOURSELF IN DELICIOUS DESIGNS, FINE FABRICS, AND A PARIS PALETTE, ALL AT PRETTY PRICES

Launched in 2002, knitwear label Kier+J specializes in buttery-soft sweaters in pure shapes and eye-pleasing hues that conjure up feelings of comfort and whimsy. Designer Junichi Hakamaki caters to the contemporary Kier+J woman, one who can never have too many sweaters and snuggles in her knits everywhere.

Kier+J distinguishes itself from the competition by only doing what they do best: exclusively producing sweaters. Any savvy shopper knows that because Kier+J dedicate themselves to knits and knits alone, they excel at what they do in terms of design, innovative techniques, and fabric and color choices. Designed with natural, luxurious yarns such as cashmere, silk blends, and fine cottons, Kier+J knits are ultra-lightweight and as comfortable as a jersey tee. Each season, Hakamaki offers a varied range of styles, including signature shapes such as sleeveless tanks, v-necks, henleys, turtlenecks, belted sweaters, cardigans, and much, much more. The collection is ideal for discerning modern women who appreciate quality, simplicity, and accessibility.

Two distinctive styles -- feminine pointelle and exaggerated draped knits -- are at the heart of Kier+J’s five annual collections. Pointelle cashmere tees appear each season in basic, best-selling shapes and hang alongside innovative sweaters designed through daring draping and unusual hues. This can be seen for Spring 2007 that introduces longer, oversized knits and a richer, smokier color palette and breaks all the rules. Hakamaki found inspiration in New York street trends, Technicolor vintage magazines, smoldering Parisian landscapes, and his wife’s Danish heritage.

A native of Japan, Junichi Hakamaki graduated from Parsons School of Design in New York before working as an assistant designer at Calvin Klein and a designer for Salvatore Ferragamo in Florence. He was head designer of Gucci under Tom Ford and subsequently served
